Beth Lowry

"Love Shouldn't Hurt"

Beth is a survivor of three abusive relationships, the last one of which almost ended her life in 1994.  She sustained a shattered ankle after jumping 20 feet from a balcony to save herself.  The challenges she faced after that are depicted in her upcoming book.

In 1998 Beth founded the non-profit domestic violence agency S.A.V.E. (Survivors Against Violent Environments) which she directed until 2007.  Her program is still in existence and is the largest transitional housing program for abused women in Nashville, Tennessee.

Beth is an active volunteer and expert in the field of domestic violence education.  She is available to speak, train and enlighten groups who are interested in domestic violence.

On a personal note, Beth is married to Britt Lowry.  They have a 14 year old daughter and reside in Franklin, Tennessee with their horse, 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 parrots.
